How Does It Work?

 

The system uses a composite resin to create a new, non-porous nail that is bonded directly to your remaining natural nail. Unlike rigid acrylics, it is designed to be flexible, allowing it to bend with the natural movement of your toes.

 

The process involves applying a resin gel which is then cured under a special UV light. The result is a natural-looking nail that can be polished, filed, and treated just like a real nail. It is unaffected by acetone, nail polish, or detergents.

 

Who Is a Suitable Candidate?

 

This is an ideal solution for individuals with:

• Nails damaged by fungal infections (once the infection is being treated)

• Nails affected by trauma or injury

• Brittle, splitting, or ridged nails

• Discoloured nails

• Partial nails following surgery or trauma

 

To be a candidate, you must have at least a small amount (around 15%) of natural nail remaining for the resin to bond to. It's not suitable for those with no nail at all. Your podiatrist will perform a full assessment to ensure the treatment is right for you.

 

The Process: What to Expect

 

This procedure is a comfortable and straightforward procedure:

1. Preparation: Your podiatrist will first prepare your existing nail by trimming and filing away any damaged or diseased sections.

2. Application: A bonding agent is applied, followed by the resin gel, which is expertly sculpted to create a new, perfectly shaped nail.

3. Curing: A special UV light is used to harden, or "cure," the resin in minutes.

4. Finishing: The new nail is then shaped, filed, and buffed to a smooth, natural-looking finish.

You can walk away immediately with a beautiful, fully-formed nail. A new artificial nail will last for approximately 6-8 weeks before it needs to be refilled or replaced as your natural nail grows out.

Our pricing is transparent and reflects the specialist nature of this procedure and the premium materials used.

• Initial Consultation & Application (Large Toenail): £85 This appointment includes a full assessment of your nail, preparation of the nail plate, and the complete application of a new artificial nail to one large toe.

• Initial Consultation & Application (Small Toenail): £60 For the application to a single smaller toenail.

• Follow-up Re-application/Maintenance (Large Toenail): £60 This is for appointments every 6-8 weeks to remove the old nail and apply a new one as your natural nail grows.

• Package Deals for Multiple Nails: We offer bespoke package prices for patients requiring the reconstruction of multiple nails. Please discuss your needs with your podiatrist during your consultation.
