Laser therapy
Low-level Laser therapy, which may help as part of a treatment plan for some foot and lower-limb problems.
What it is
Low-level Laser therapy (LLLT, sometimes called cold Laser) uses low-power light applied to the skin. It doesn't cut or burn. We may use it alongside other treatment for some soft-tissue injuries, painful conditions, wound care and verrucae. The evidence for Laser therapy varies between conditions, so we'll only suggest it where we think it may help, and we'll tell you about the other options.
What to expect
After an assessment, the Laser probe is held against the skin over the area being treated for a short time. Most people feel little or nothing. You'll wear protective glasses. A course of sessions is often recommended, and we'll review how you're getting on as we go. Laser can also be used instead of needles for some acupuncture-style treatment, which may suit people who don't like needles.
Price
